We asked people in our congregation why they come to The First Mennonite.  Following are a few of their responses:
  • Creative, spirit-led, Christocentric services with a biblical commitment to peace and justice in an atmosphere of warmth for all ages.  (Hedy S.)
  • First Mennonite gave me a very welcoming greeting as soon as I walked in the door.  I felt part of the community immediately.  I appreciate the blend of worship style and music.  (Lorraine S.)
  • We have a great youth group! We do service projects, play games and go on two retreats every year. It’s awesome!   (Katie P., Katie F, and Amy T)
  • I like the spirit of working together.  (Lori L.)
  • It’s a small church, with a commitment to social justice, music diversity and there’s a willingness to be friends with children.  (Deb S.)
  • I love that there is an intergenerational atmosphere where everyone gets to know everyone else.  (Esther S.)
  • I appreciate the way the pastor challenges us to increase and nurture our relationship with Christ.  ( Joanne F.)
